# Terms of Use

Updated October 29, 2026

**Draft, to be reviewed before launch.**

## Listings and results

Listings are based on public data and our published method. The order of results is our opinion of the best match, not a guarantee of any business's work.

## Sponsored placements

Sponsored placements are always labelled and shown outside the numbered results.

## Quote requests

Quote requests go only to the businesses you choose. Any agreement for work is between you and the business.

ServiceScout is free to use. We earn money from optional business upgrades, clearly labelled sponsored placements and, when you request a quote, from the businesses that receive it. None of these change how results are ordered.
